Dentures (Complete & Partial)

Dentures are removable dental appliances used for replacement of missing teeth.  They are made to closely resemble your natural teeth and can be used to enhance your smile.

Our doctors make both types of dentures – both complete and partial dentures.  Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

At Anna Dental, we can make dentures a couple of different ways.  “Conventional” type dentures are made after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has healed, which usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.  During this time the patient will go without teeth.  On the other hand, “Immediate” type dentures – or “same-day dentures” – are made in advance and are immediately placed after the teeth are removed, thus preventing the patient from having to be without teeth during the healing process.  Just imagine – you can have your teeth taken out and leave with a whole new set in the same day!

Our dentures are very durable and will last many years, but may have to be remade, repaired, or readjusted over time due to normal wear.  It is normal to experience increased saliva flow, some soreness, and possible speech and chewing difficulty, however this will subside as your muscles and tissues get used to the new dentures.

Dentures can be a great way to restore or replace multiple teeth at the same time.  For more information, give us a call and set up your exam and consultation today!
